DEMOGRAPHIC SERVICES AND CIVIL STATUS – Day dedicated to CIEs without appointment. Councilor Coletti: “Great satisfaction with the users’ response. The aim is to halve the time”
First Saturday of opening, today, for the Central Registry Office (SCA) in via Fausto Beretta, 1 implemented in accessibility and in the offer to users. The identification of Saturday as the day dedicated to the issue of Electronic Identity Cards is one of the innovations included in the reorganization of the service, carried out on the initiative of themunicipal councilor Cristina Coletti, with responsibility for Demographic Services and Civil Status.
“Great satisfaction – says councilor Cristina Coletti – for the response given by the users, who turned to the Central Registry Office this morning. The choice to extend the hours of activity for obtaining the identity card, guaranteeing two Saturdays every month, is a strategic choice that meets the requests of citizens. With this innovation, combined with the doubling of the stations where the electronic identity card can be obtained, the goal is to issue 12 thousand more documents every year, to be added to the over 15 thousand already released each year. The aim is to reduce waiting times for reservations by 50%. I thank the citizens who took advantage of the renewal and the operators for the excellent work done in managing the activity”.
The youngest CIE applicant was 5 year old Tommaso.
Next opening on weekends will be Saturday 27 January. From February the calendar will come into force which will see alternating openings on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
To obtain the CIE, the 7 stations located at number 19 of via Fausto Beretta remain active during the week – 2 dedicated to emergency issuance due to thefts and losses – and in the Delegations East (via Putinati, 165), South (via Sansoni, 20, Gaibanella), North (piazza Buozzi, 14, Pontelagoscuro) and West (via Ladino, 24, Porotto).
