WHISTLE – It is forbidden to light fires. It was among the indications contained in the signs just placed by Legambiente at the entrance to the Frassineto Park in Fisciano. Yet, some uncivilized has seen fit to do the opposite and, ironically, relentlessly against the billboards that incited compliance with the rules of safeguarding hygiene, incredibly set on fire. An episode still in search of explanations, the one that took place over the weekend right at the gates of the park, one of the most famous naturalistic oases of the Irno Valley, a destination for young people and groups throughout the year and in particular on holidays such as Easter Monday and August 15th. . And to think that the rules dictated by the ordinance of the Municipality of Fisciano had recently come into force. Among these, the obligation of a leash for four-legged friends, to differentiate the waste and precisely not to start fires, especially in a period like the summer when the great heat is a variable that can become, in some cases, disastrous.
The content of the provision was illustrated by means of signs on display at the entrance to the oasis. Unfortunately, however, they were vandalized overnight by unknown criminals. A gesture that sent into a rage the members of the Legambiente Valle dell’Irno club, who filed a complaint with the police, wondering about the reasons for such behavior: simple thugs or something worse? “Some useless idiot has seen fit to set fire to the warning signs, placed at the entrance to the park, with which we informed the users of the park of the rules imposed by the new ordinance, the activists wrote This cowardly and intimidating gesture makes us understand that among so many people respectable there are those who do not know respect and democracy, it being understood that we have informed the police bodies in detail, certainly this does not stop our voluntary action aimed at safeguarding the environment ». In short, it is feared that there is not simply to deal with uncivilized attitudes, but that it may have been a sort of “warning”.
It will be up to the law enforcement officers, on the basis of the investigation, to establish the true nature of the episode. It is certain that what happened has aroused the indignation of many, also via social networks, who have openly condemned the conduct of those responsible for the burning of the cartels, as well as “advised” to increase safety near the naturalistic oasis, perhaps by installing cameras.
