With the recognition of Parkinson’s as an occupational disease, affected farmers are entitled to statutory accident insurance benefits through the agricultural professional association. What exactly these services are depends on the individual case. They range from medical care to cash benefits.
In a press release dated March 28th, the SVLFG announced that, as a first step, it would write to all known affected LKK insured persons and initiate the examination of an occupational disease. Due to the expected high number of suspected cases to be examined, it can be assumed that processing will take a long time. Until then, the cost of treatment will be covered by the health insurance company and entitlement to benefits will not be lost.
If you do not have health insurance with the LKK, you will find a notification form below www.svlfg.de/formular-berufskrankheiten-anzeige available. Alternatively, the treating doctor can make the report directly to the SVLFG. When asked, the SVLFG says that in principle it is possible to have an occupational disease for the company’s relatives, such as employees. B. to recognize spouses or parents.
