A landslide has killed four people on the Indonesian island of Java. Six others are still missing, authorities said.
Indonesian rescuers found four bodies, including those of two children, and are still searching for six others after a landslide and flood, the head of the local disaster management agency said.
Cibenda village, West Java province, was flooded shortly before midnight on Sunday evening after hours of torrential rain. According to previous reports, ten people were missing. Dozens of houses were damaged, forcing hundreds of people to be evacuated.
Indonesia is prone to landslides during the rainy season and the problem has been exacerbated by deforestation in some areas. Earlier this month, floods and landslides on the island of Sumatra killed at least 30 people and dozens of others are still missing.
