“NJ Transit offers free month of travel for college students”
NJ Transit, the state public transportation company of New Jersey, is offering a special promotion for college students. This program allows students to travel for free for one month on any of its transportation services.
The promotion consists of one month of free and unlimited travel for students with the purchase of their three-month Student Pass. This pass makes it easier for them to travel on any form of transportation managed by NJ Transit.
All New Jersey students are eligible to get their NJ Transit Student Pass. Full-timers and those pursuing a degree or taking at least two courses part-time will benefit from this offer. Additionally, full-time and part-time degree seekers can save an additional 25% if the school participates in the university partnership program.
For the promotion, the pass will be purchased monthly via the NJTransit APK, available for iOS and Android in February, March and April 2024. These three purchases will qualify for the free month of travel in May 2024.
The pass will be saved as a ticket option in the NJ Transit mobile app and will be available for purchase from the 19th of the previous month until the 10th of the month in which the pass is valid.
Students interested in taking advantage of this promotion should act quickly, as the promotion began in February and ends on February 10. After this time, students could miss the opportunity to travel for free for a month.
NJ Transit assures that this promotion will save the student more than 60% on transportation to go to classes from February to May 2024. However, it’s important to note that the free pass is non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used only in May 2024. Additionally, it does not include SEPTA and Metro-North stations or the Newark Liberty International Airport.
