The authorities have mobilized police forces to suppress it. On September 15, victims of the rights protection of the Henan Company of Evergrande Group (Henan Company for short) in Zhengzhou were violently expelled by unknown persons, some were injured, and one or two hundred people were taken to the police station. The Epoch Times reporter understands that after the police’s crackdown on the 15th, the road in front of the office building of Evergrande Henan Company has been blocked and police are guarding it. Workers entering the building must have a work permit to enter. Outsiders need to register. Rights defenders cannot get close to the periphery of the building.

On the 15th, Mr. Yang, the victim of the company’s rights defense, told the Epoch Times reporter about the incident.

Since September 13, a large number of victims from various regions of Henan have gathered in the Henan company, about a few hundred people. A deputy manager of Evergrande Wealth Company was surrounded by the victims in the company, and he was discussing 24 hours a day for three days and two nights.

Mr. Yang revealed that on the morning of the 15th, a group of police officers came to carry out the so-called reassurance and let everyone go back, claiming that they would legally defend their rights and not allow petitions. The police left at noon.

At noon, the victims who went to the Letters and Calls Office to defend their rights also returned to the company. The office lobby and meeting rooms of the company on the 16th floor were full of people.

Mr. Yang said that at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, police cars, ambulances and buses got down from the bottom of the office building. “Plainclothes, police cars, 120 are all here. They must have fixed them beforehand. I guess this shouldn’t mean that a branch can mobilize so many police forces.”

There were about 300 policemen and plainclothes at the scene. Mr. Yang said that someone saw the policemen wearing plain clothes downstairs, and they changed into police uniforms after the incident.

Another victim, Mr. Liu, said, “There are some unidentified people hired by Evergrande, and some police co-ops of the public security organs. There are many unidentified people anyway.”

The police and these plainclothes first controlled the elevator, and a group of people came to the 16th floor.

Mr. Yang said: “(The person who came up) threatened you and told you to go first. Everyone would definitely not want to go. The common people have no other way. If you don’t go, you can just take a fight and take you away.”

“They all carry batons, and those who beat people wear plain clothes. Some are in their 60s and 70s, so they should beat you, including pregnant women.” Mr. Yang saw a 60-year-old lady and her daughter with his own eyes. A young man in his 20s and an investment consultant of Evergrande Wealth Company were beaten, and that man was beaten more severely.

Mr. Yang said that many mobile phones had been snatched to delete the content, resulting in the assault video not being sent.

Mr. Yang also revealed that in addition to violent actions, the plainclothes smashed through the door of the conference room (there were many victims inside together holding the door to prevent them from entering) and sprayed chili water on the people inside.

The investment consultant who was beaten was a young woman. After she came out of the police station on the 16th, she posted a message in the group about her experience. Mr. Yang said that the girl was scared and silly at the time, and many people were scared at the time and had never experienced such a scene.

The investment adviser wrote in the message: “Knowing that they will come to snatch people, but they did not anticipate the means of snatching, they used chili water outside the door to break the defense, and they began to violently pull the people in the house. A fat man was almost a fat man. He came directly to me and dragged me. Colleagues and other difficult friends helped me to get out of the door, but the fat man kept holding on to my neck, dragging me from the outside into the house, kicking me, hitting my head and Face, I was beaten up.”

After all the rights defenders of the Henan company were violently cleared, the roads around the building were also blocked. Mr. Yang said that those who fought hard at the time were all pulled into the bus, and those who did not resist were let go. About one or two hundred people were pulled to the police station. Mr. Yang only invested 1 million yuan in August this year (all the savings of his family, and he dare not tell his family until now), he said that he was completely disappointed in the government through this incident, and they now have nowhere to lodge a complaint.

Evergrande Group’s wealth management product “Hengda Wealth” expired on September 8 but was not redeemed, triggering collective rights protection for investment victims across the mainland. Right now, all rights protection activities in various regions have been suppressed by the authorities.
