Italy is in fourteenth place among the countries of the European Union in the ranking of the Gender Equality Index elaborated by the European Institute for Gender Equality (Eige). Yet bridging the gender gap, as well as in terms of rights, would also have a positive impact on GDP, estimated as a percentage between 9 and 11%.
