After an overwhelming national reception, the long-awaited “Canta Pedro Lobatto” contest is about to reach its climax with the grand finale, scheduled for this Friday, March 22. More than 150 talented participants from all over the country took on the challenge of interpreting the songs of the renowned artist Pedro Lobatto in his own style, and from this outstanding selection, the finalists who will compete for the title have been chosen.

The event, which was initially scheduled for the first days of January, was postponed due to the current problems facing Ecuador. It will be broadcast on local television, in the TVS Family Magazine, with the endorsement of the FENARPE (National Federation of Artists of Ecuador). The finalists will be honored with Professional Cards and Diplomas of Merit, thus recognizing their dedication and talent.

The prizes up for grabs are both financial and professional. In addition to financial recognition, the highlight is the opportunity for Audiovisual Production under professional conditions, providing participants with a significant platform to boost their future careers in the music industry.

The jury, made up of connoisseurs of the musical art, will face the challenge of selecting the winner from among the finalists, who have demonstrated exceptional talent and a unique performance.

Dr. David González; Retroband – Rock Group; Jorge Guerrero and Jaime Arévalo representing Riobamba; Pablo Avendaño represents Penipe-Chimborazo, Jaime León from Alausí-Chimborazo, Daniel Vásconez from the province of El Oro; Stalin Rivera and Víctor Viteri from Quito-Pichincha; Kevin David from Ambato-Tungurahua, and Juan Diego Mora from the province of Bolívar.
