Satisfied category representatives: the managers of the premises are not required to be sheriffs by asking the identity of customers

UDINE. More frequent checks by the police on compliance with the regulations for the green pass in public places and at events, given that the August weekend, with its load of tens of thousands of tourists in seaside resorts or in the mountains, it is now upon us.

Reiterated the directive of the Minister of the Interior Lamorgese which does not oblige managers to ask for identity documents from customers, but only that the green card be shown.

Particular attention is paid to avoiding and discouraging gatherings, wherever they occur, in the most intense days of the summer. And finally, a particular focus on the fires, which are particularly frightening even in our region.

These are the main themes dealt with during the committees for order and safety that took place yesterday at the same time in the prefectures of Udine and Pordenone. The mayor of the Municipality of Lignano Luca Fanotto, the representatives of Confcommercio and Confesercenti, the commissioner of Udine Manuela De Bernardin Stadoan and the representatives of the carabinieri, financial police and local police participated in the Udine meeting, chaired by the deputy vicar prefect Enrico Roccatagliata, state police and fire brigade.

«The activities of supervision and prevention of a general nature and of control of the territory will be increased – said the deputy prefect vicar Roccatagliata -, with attention to those crimes that find favorable conditions for their realization during the summer period.

In this context, attention was paid to the need to continue the control action to prevent situations that could favor contagion, with reference to the controls on compliance with the provisions on interpersonal distancing and prohibition of gatherings.

Furthermore, in relation to these profiles, the salient aspects of the new legislation linked to the use of the green pass and their implications in terms of controls were addressed. The representatives of the main trade associations welcomed with satisfaction the specification of the Minister of the Interior regarding the non-compulsory exhibition of the identity document by the owner of the public business.

During the meeting, the importance of respecting the legislation that requires the verification of the green pass for access to a series of social and economic activities was reiterated, not only for the protection of public health, but also in the interest of the operators themselves. economic “.

The conclusions reached by the Committee satisfied the regional vice president of Confesercenti Marco Zoratti. «It was a fruitful meeting – he said -, which took place in an atmosphere of full collaboration, and from which a communion of intentions emerged that bodes well for the rest of the summer season. In addition, the deputy prefect vicar confirmed what was emphasized by Minister Lamorgese: the managers of public establishments cannot, and must not, ask their customers for any identity document.

Of this I can only be pleased, not only because this request was made in recent days by the national Confesercenti, but also because it has finally been clarified that bartenders and restaurateurs are not required to be “sheriffs” ».

In Pordenone the Committee was chaired by the deputy vicar Giampaola Modolo. It was underlined that the activity of the police continued “even in these first days of application of the green pass on the basis of the planning implemented by the commissioner Marco Odorisio”. The “civic sense of citizenship of Pordenone was praised, by virtue of which citizens and merchants in a collaborative manner immediately adapted to the new regulatory context.

In fact, from the results of the checks, compliance with the specific provisions of the Government in combating the pandemic still in progress emerged ”.
