April 17 marked ten years since the death of the Nobel Prize winner in Literature, Gabriel Garcia Marquezwho with his stories highlighted the greatness of the Caribbean region.
On the occasion of its anniversary, the Guacaó restaurant bar will hold this Thursday April 18 the gathering ‘The journalistic work as a precedent of the Garcíamarquiano world‘, based on the texts of the Colombian writer and the book ‘A look at the coastal texts 1948 – 1942′, which cover the period in which ‘Gabo’ began writing for the newspaper El Universal of Cartagena and his expansion as one of the best contemporary writers.
The event will be directed by the former Secretary of Culture of Valledupar, Carlos Liñán Pitre, who through his social networks has praised the writing of Gabriel García Márquez.
