Hechi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government Hosts the 2024 “Guangxi March 3 Hechi Carnival National Unity Colorful Pastoral Fair”

Xinhua News Agency, Nanning, April 10th (Reporter Huang Haoming) – The city of Hechi, located in the Guangxi region, kicked off the 2024 “Guangxi March 3 Hechi Carnival National Unity Colorful Pastoral Fair” on April 10th at the Yizhou District Citizen Cultural Plaza. The event, organized by the Hechi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, aims to promote ethnic unity, traditional culture, and rural revitalization.

The opening ceremony began with a lively dance performance featuring the “Dragon and Lion Dance” followed by various cultural presentations such as the silk cheongsam show and the ethnic pastoral costume display. Attendees were also treated to the Hechi Farming Dance Show, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. Mayor Wang Jun highlighted Hechi’s efforts in promoting ethnic unity and progress, stating that the city has made significant strides in poverty alleviation and rural development.

The “Guangxi March 3 Hechi Carnival” event serves as a platform to showcase Hechi’s unique customs, landscape, and cultural heritage. Through a series of cultural performances, exhibitions of ethnic handicrafts, and promotions of traditional food specialties, attendees were able to immerse themselves in the vibrant and diverse culture of Hechi.
