CODROIPO. Shortly after 12 noon on 16 August 2021, a motorist, who was driving along the Pontebbana road towards Codroipo in his car, lost control of his vehicle and went off the road going to break through the fence of the Air Force base. of Rivolto and stopped his own run overturned on his side inside the base.
The team of the Codroipo volunteer firefighters who passed along the road, realizing the accident, immediately stopped to provide first aid and request the intervention of the 118 health personnel via radio.
At the same time, the firefighters of the base arrived at the scene of the accident with an airport fire-fighting vehicle and the medical personnel of the Air Force with the military ambulance.
While the medical personnel were giving the first care to the driver of the accident vehicle, the personnel of the military fire brigade in collaboration with that of the National Fire Brigade provided for the safety of the vehicle involved in the accident. Once on the spot, the 118 health personnel took charge of the only person involved in the accident who, for the entire duration of the intervention, by the military health personnel, was always alert and conscious.
Both the Carabinieri of the aeronautical base and the personnel of the Arma coming from Codroipo intervened for the findings of the accident.
