He violates the obligations of special public security surveillance and robs a tobacco shop after threatening the owner with a box cutter.
A forty-two year old with several criminal records was arrested by the State Police in Reggio Calabria.
The man, after having carried out the robbery inside the business in the southern area of the city, left the shop and attempted to escape on board a passing public transport bus. When the driver of the vehicle refused to open the doors, the forty-two-year-old still managed to get in by forcing the closures and threatening the bus driver with the box cutter.
Following the report received by 112 immediately after the robbery, more Flying Crews intervened and reached the bus, blocking the criminal inside who, in the meantime, had also tried in vain to get rid of the stolen goods. The sum, 630 euros in cash that he still had in his pocket, was entirely recovered and returned to the robbed trader. Also found was the cutter and some used gloves.
