One cannot understand how it is that a sector of the Santa Marta Public Market like the one on 13th Street and Carrera 9, the same one that hundreds of sellers and thousands of buyers frequent every day, remains in these filthy conditions. This image was captured by one of our photojournalists, and it shows the flooding due to the spillage of wastewater and the amount of garbage scattered all over the road, in addition to generating a bad appearance and unbearable bad odors, it becomes a dangerous breeding grounds for flies and mosquitoes.
