VIALFRÈ. It seems strange to think of Canavese as a place to plant olive trees. Yet olive growing has been a consolidated reality for 25 years and certainly few know that a quarter of the olive trees in Piedmont live in the area.

It was in fact 1996 when the then mayor of Vialfrè, Pier Luigi Baratono, decided to plant 50 olive trees with the aim of consolidating unstable soil.
