In Favria the last farewells to Pasquale Pignone, a tireless volunteer

He was 68 years old. He had been one of the founders of the Civil Protection section of Oglianico. A few months ago, his brother Vincenzo had died in an accident at work

FAVRIA A few months after the tragic death of his brother Vincenzo in the factory in Busano, Pasquale Pignone, 68 years old resident in Favria, died in the late afternoon of Friday 6 June, surrounded by the affection of his family, who could do nothing against a bone tumor that left him no way out.

Pasquale Pignone was one of the founding members of the Civil Protection section of Oglianico, La Fenice. The comrades of the section remember him thus: «Together with him we have done many hours of volunteer work over the years, sharing many moments. Pasquale was one of our founding members, but not only: he was a sincere friend to many of us, a person you can count on. Our thoughts now go to his family and we send a hug to him and to his loved ones ».

His son Andrea tells who Pignone was: «My father has always dedicated himself to volunteering, but he is also a hard worker. He is the one who calls himself a good man, very humble and always available for those in need. He had just turned 68, last April 20, then back pains turned into an incurable disease. He was hospitalized in Ivrea, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to help him heal. We will always carry his smile and teachings with us ».

Pignone leaves his wife Agnese, his children Antonella, Monica and Andrea and his beloved grandchildren Sophie and Cristiano.

The rosary on Wednesday in the parish church of Favria at 8.30 pm, while the funeral will be held in the church in Favria at 10.30 on Thursday 9.
