So far, more than 40 suspects have been investigated. The warehouses stocking anti-epidemic drugs were inspected, and law enforcement officers found obvious stocking and oversold records in 9 warehouses. For hoarding or selling medical supplies and medicines at higher than market prices, they will face severe penalties after verification.
At present, the prices of anti-epidemic drugs and household medicines in the Myanmar pharmaceutical market have dropped significantly. At the same time, the Myanmar government also stated that the import approval of anti-epidemic drugs and materials will be completed within 48 hours.
The Ministry of Health of Myanmar announced on the evening of August 13 that among the 13,021 samples tested on the same day, 3456 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were found, with a diagnosis rate of 26.5%, and a total of 348,186 confirmed cases; 212 new deaths and mortality rates were added that day.
