Shanghai Promotes Corporate Health Promotion through Technology and Innovation

The National Health Commission is emphasizing the importance of using information technology to innovatively carry out corporate health promotion, with a focus on digital and intelligent development. Mao Qun’an, deputy director of the National Health Care Office, mentioned that Shanghai’s location advantages in the Yangtze River Delta will be leveraged for health integration efforts. The goal is to promote the transformation and upgrading of the health industry while improving the business environment to strengthen the bond between the development of the health industry and the promotion of healthy enterprises.

At a recent event in Shanghai, Su Wenshuai, deputy director of the Rights and Interests Protection Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, unveiled the corporate health promotion expert committee. Wu Jinglei, President of the Shanghai Medical Association, issued expert appointment letters to the experts represented. This expert committee aims to provide authoritative and professional technical support for employee health promotion work, ultimately improving the health protection of employees throughout their life cycle.

The China Federation of Social Work expressed its commitment to promoting the Healthy China Action by exploring the development model of health social work. The goal is to enhance the quality of people’s lives, improve doctor-patient communication, and transform medical models. Social workers are eager to contribute to the “Healthy China” national strategy by leveraging their professional abilities.

In 2023, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions will launch special activities to promote corporate health, with over 1,700 enterprises and institutions in the city participating. The event aims to select demonstration units and form a “thousands of companies” radiating effect. Special activities will focus on implementing construction regulations, building a digital service platform, and utilizing the Shanghai Health Science Popularization resources for health knowledge dissemination.

The Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions shared its experiences and practices since launching special activities last year, emphasizing the need to understand employees’ health service needs, launch targeted and popular services, and promote digital transformation in employee health management. Future corporate health promotion activities will continue to build on these efforts to solve health problems for employees and share experiences nationwide.
