Berlin (dts news agency) – Despite frustration with bureaucracy and the economic downturn, Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens)’s plans for stricter climate protection requirements for public contracts are supported by more citizens than rejected.
“A relative majority of 39 percent support the mandatory fulfillment of environmental criteria to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as an award criterion for public contracts, even if this leads to higher prices” – this is the result of an Insa survey reported in the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” (NOZ ) reported. 34 percent of those surveyed reject stricter requirements, the remaining 26 percent expressed no preference.
