IVREA. Elif Yagci, from Turkey to Conegliano, with two photographs entitled Ski mountaineering on the Dolomites and The details, Amy Andonie from Honduras to Syracuse, with Italy is like the sea, and Ceren Lamina, from Turkey to Syracuse, with Flying Fish, are the winners, classified respectively in first, second and third place, of the XXII Intercultura photo contest So I see Italy, entitled A year in Italy summarized in a snapshot, whose award ceremony took place in the Golden Hall of the Town Hall . They were joined by the winner of the Instagram Jury, Jovana Stoikovic, from Serbia to Syracuse, with the photo Dress of pasta.

It is no coincidence that the awards ceremony takes place here every year, as the Intercultura So I See Italy photo competition was born in Ivrea, over twenty years ago, thanks to the happy intuition of the volunteer Renata Gallo, and there foreign students who are welcomed in every part of Italy participate every year with an annual or six-monthly Intercultura program, sending photographs in which they believe they have managed to grasp the different aspects of Italian identity and commenting on them with a caption.

In addition to the winning students and the students whose photographs received a mention, Gloria Defilippi, president of the Ivrea Local Center, Marilia Pezzotta, coordinator of the competition, Silvia Balla, head of the communication, Marco Meneghetti, Intercultura coordinator for the North-West. The young volunteer Francesca Pugliese led the award ceremony in a brilliant way. With great enthusiasm, President Defilippi reaffirmed the great educational value of the experience abroad with Intercultura, which not only makes us grow, but also helps us to look at the world with a different look and which really enters into those who do it, changing it forever and broadening its views.

«As for every edition – recalled Silvia Balla – the prize consisted in coming to Ivrea, spending a few days in the company of the volunteers of the local center and being hosted by Canavese families who, with their usual generosity, made themselves available. The winners, moreover, together with the 5 young people who are with us, in Canavese, for some time now, have had the opportunity to visit the Maam, to participate in a short photography course and to visit the Mountain Museum, at the Forte di Bard. “.
