On the night between Saturday and Sunday, around midnight and a half, the agents of the Ivrea and Banchette police station intervened near a commercial premises in via Circonvallazione where medical personnel were helping people injured following a road accident.
On the spot, the agents found that the two people had been hit by a car traveling along the street at high speed. After the impact, as a result of which the victims were thrown into the air, the car had fled. Through the testimonies collected, the agents traced back to the car that was tracked down in the parking lot of a city supermarket.
The car had a shattered windshield and a dent in the hood. At the same time, the two occupants of the car were identified, a nineteen-year-old son of the owner of the vehicle and a twenty-year-old friend of his, the person driving at the time of the investment.
Both young people were reported in a state of freedom for wrongful death. The 20-year-old driver will be deferred for escape following an accident, road injuries and drunk driving. The driver’s license was withdrawn for suspension purposes.
As a result of investigations it emerged that the boy was driving with a high alcohol content, higher than 1.5 g / l.
