Police in Kirk district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province said on Sunday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists damaged several police vehicles for stopping the rally.
According to Bastaullah, an official of Kirk Takht Nusrati police station, no prior permission was taken to hold the rally, while PTI accused the policemen of firing directly on their workers.
The incident took place when the PTI held a rally in Kirk, which was also to be attended by party leader Sher Afzal Marwat.

In this regard, some videos are also circulating on social media in which a few people can be seen damaging police vehicles.
In the videos, agitators, some wearing PTI caps, can be seen damaging police vehicles with stones and sticks.
In the video, the windows, switchboards and doors of some vehicles can be seen being broken.
In some videos, the police can be seen shelling the workers to disperse them.

PTI said in a statement that ‘Despite the worst obstacles, direct firing by the police, severe shelling, the zealous people of Kirkuk like the whole country have given a decision that whatever you do, we will stay within the circle of the constitution and law. On February 8, they will cast their vote in favor of PTI’s nominee.
The party released a video on X, writing, ‘Direct firing by police in Kirk to stop our rallies.
“The Election Commission is silently watching this incident while the democratic process of elections is being completely destroyed.”
