The Carabinieri of Lanciano are investigating the death of a 60-year-old woman found lifeless in the garage of her villa in Lanciano (Chieti) on Friday afternoon. Her 70-year-old husband, after spending the night in the barracks to be heard, is being investigated on the loose.
The soldiers of the local company and the colleagues of the investigative section of the provincial command of Chieti carried out a series of surveys together with the coroner Cristian D’Ovidio and the prosecutor Serena Rossi. From the investigators nothing leaks about the conditions in which the woman’s body was found.
It is investigated to determine if she was killed or if it is possible to hypothesize the incitement to suicide. It was the husband himself who called the police and reported that he had found his lifeless wife in the garage of the house. During the night, other testimonies from family members and acquaintances were also collected to reconstruct the last hours of the woman’s life. The couple are well known in the city. The body is in the Chieti morgue for the autopsy.
