At that time, a piece of municipal property changed symbolically into state ownership for one shilling (0.7 euros) if a vocational school was established. Eleven years ago, the state vocational school for electrical engineers and mechatronics engineers moved from the city center to a new building complex on a green field at the newly created Leopold-Maderthaner-Platz. In the meantime, other schools were accommodated in the building as part of renovations, but most of the time it was empty.
