The Lombardy Region has launched a public competition, for exams, to hire on a full-time and permanent contract 190 highly specialized officials and professionals.
The filling of the positions – it must be said immediately – is subject to the outcome of the ongoing mobility procedure, therefore – we read in the announcement – if the positions are all filled through this procedure, then the competition will be revoked. In the event that only part of the advertised positions is filled through mobility, then the competition will serve to select candidates for the remaining positions which, therefore, could be less than 190.
The announcement requires “highly specialized knowledge” e «managerial and socio-relational skills adequate to address, with high critical awareness, problems of considerable complexity».

The profiles sought
There are 10 profiles required: administrative (60 posts), economics (25 posts), humanities and communication: (10 posts), public relations (6 posts), statistical computer science (5 posts), technician (35 places), agriculture and forestry (25 places), environmental (7 seats), civil protection (10 posts), wildlife management (7 posts).
The qualifications for admission to the selection
The master’s degree in Architecture and building engineering-architecture, Landscape architecture and Territorial, urban and environmental planning (as well as equivalent specialist degrees or those of the old system) give access to 35 technical specialist positions. Furthermore, the master’s degree in territorial, urban and environmental planning (and equivalent specialist or old-school degrees) also allow you to apply for the 7 positions technical-environmental and ecological transition specialist.
Those who hold a master’s degree in Architecture and building engineering-architecture or in Territorial, urban and environmental planning or equivalent qualifications of the old system or specialist degrees can also compete for the 10 positions specialist in prevention and response to civil protection emergencies.
To apply for the 60 positions of administrative legal specialist and for the 6 seats of specialist for public relations and digital services all you need is the possession of any degree diploma lasting at least three years.
Admission request
The application to participate in the competition must be submitted, under penalty of exclusion, exclusively electronically, starting from 10:00 am on Monday 12 February 2024 and no later than 12:00 pm on Wednesday 13 March 2024, via the completing the application format on the single public administration recruitment portal “inPA” (inpa.gov.it), upon registration on the same portal.

The selection tests
The competition procedure will be divided into a possible pre-selection test, common to all profiles, as well as a written test and an oral test, specific for each profile.
The pre-selection test, which will consist of multiple choice tests, will be held if more than 100 applications are received for each profile and will take place remotely and electronically. Each candidate, therefore, will take the test from their own PC, therefore, for example, from home or from the office, but they need a stable connection and an Android (5.1 or higher) or iOS (10.0 or higher) smartphone or tablet, equipped of camera. The notice specifies a series of requirements that the equipment to be used and the internet connection must satisfy.
Any pre-selection test will take place on a day between 26 and 28 March 2024; the time and methods of implementation will be communicated with a notice on the “InPA” and “online calls” portals starting from 18 March 2024.
The written test, in person, will consist of multiple choice questions and/or “open response” questions on the specific subjects of each profile. Also there oral exam will be in person and will take the form of an individual interview, aimed at assessing knowledge in the exam subjects of the written test.
