President calls for ‘immediate strengthening of the means of Frontex’

(ANSA) – PARIS, NOVEMBER 24 – “France will not let the Channel become a cemetery”: the French president, Emmanuel Macron, affirms this after the death of at least 31 migrants in the Channel, according to a latest provisional balance reported by the Elisha. The French president, who will be in Rome tomorrow for the signing of the Quirinal Treaty with Prime Minister Mario Draghi, also calls for an “immediate strengthening of the means of the Frontex agency at the external borders of the EU”. And he calls for an “emergency meeting of European ministers involved in the migration challenge”, assuring that France “will do everything necessary to find and convict those responsible”.
