On August 26 with the book The cry of Job
Massimo Recalcati will be a guest of the Forte di Bard Incontri event with an evening of continuation of his work of analysis and reading of the Bible. The writer will focus on the figure of Job with the book “The cry of Job” (ed. Einaudi).
«Why did all this pain happen to Job, to the point of having suffered the greatest pain, namely the death of his children? – we read in the presentation of the event – Everyone asks if they are reading the Bible and then, starting from this question, Recalcati wanted to try to give answers, always offering a psychoanalytic point of view. God strikes Job not for punishment, because he did nothing, and not even for vengeance, because he had inflicted no pain on anyone. In the position of one who is unjustly hit, Job falters, but he does not give in to hatred and keeps his faith firm ”.
The meeting, promoted in collaboration with the Mondadori Library of Ivrea, will take place on August 26 at 9 pm at the Forte di Bard. To access, reservation and Covid green certification are required.
