Matadi: restoration of drinking water supply after 5 days of shortage in Momo

Drinking water service was restored on Tuesday, April 16, after five days of interruption in the Momo district, located on the hill of the town of Matadi (Kongo-Central).

According to REGIDESO, this rupture was due to a breakdown at the Matadi river plant.

Sophie Niangi, resident of the Momo district, one of the districts of Matadi located on the hills, is among those who are delighted with the restoration of REGIDESO water service in the city.

She said she suffered an ordeal that she suffered during the 5 days of shortage of this vital commodity.

For his part, the provincial director of REGIDESO, Théodore Kabeya Ngandu assured that the town of Matadi will be equipped with new motor pumps.

He thus reiterated his apologies to the subscribers of this company for all the inconvenience caused by this situation.

Théodore Kabeya Ngandu also called on the population to report water leaks and denounce illegal connections which disrupt water distribution in this city.
