Mexican fan from Michoacán paid 11 thousand dollars to watch the Super Bowl

Rigo Martinez, a proud man of Michoacán roots, spared no expense to witness the highly anticipated Super Bowl LVIII at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Martinez paid a whopping 11 thousand dollars, equivalent to almost 200 thousand pesos, for his ticket to the event, which has a capacity of 70 thousand spectators.

Although born in California, Martinez’s heart lies in Purepero, Michoacán. He had been saving for years to fulfill his dream of seeing the San Francisco 49ers emerge victorious at the Super Bowl. “Life is too short not to be able to enjoy this moment,” he told El Universal.

Martinez is known for being proud of his parents’ homeland and often visits the Michoacan Bajío to partake in the patron saint festivities. Despite his strong connection to his Mexican heritage, he also has a deep love for American football.

As an employee at the Los Angeles Airport, Martinez is part of the green wave of thousands of Mexicans who made the journey to Las Vegas to witness the clash between the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

With a tequila in hand and a plate of nachos with guacamole, Martinez, like thousands of others, claims that the Super Bowl has a taste of Mexico.

As the excitement builds for the big game, Martinez stands as a symbol of the unity and passion that the Super Bowl brings to people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds and traditions. As he eagerly awaits the kickoff, Martinez exemplifies the thrill and anticipation that comes with the biggest game in American football.
