In a shocking turn of events, giant hailstones reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h have wreaked havoc in Guangxi, southern China. The ice balls, some as big as a fist, caught residents off guard during a heavy rainfall.
The extreme hailstorm caused significant damage to roofs, windows, and agricultural areas. Tragically, even a rooster in a field lost its life due to the impact of the massive hailstones.
Experts warn that with the increasing warming of the sea and atmosphere, hailstones pose a growing threat to humanity. In certain conditions, these hailstones can exceed 20 centimeters in size.
The question that now looms over us is – are we adequately prepared to face the onslaught of these giant hailstones?
