Another boat with 108 people in difficulty near Calabria

(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 25 – Contacts have been lost with a boat with 25 migrants on board that was adrift off Malta. This is what Alarm Phone claims, underlining that it nevertheless informed the rescue authorities including the Italian Coast Guard that they would be looking for the boat.

The boat, the NGO writes in a series of tweets, was located 200 miles from the coast in the Maltese SAR area and had left Libya two days ago. “We are very worried about the conditions of the people” writes the Alarm Phone in a tweet.

According to the Alarm Phone, there would also be another boat with 108 people on board in difficulty off the coast of Calabria.

“They tell us that the boat is sinking – he writes in another tweet – we fear the worst and we ask for help to be taken immediately to avoid another shipwreck”. (HANDLE).
