The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China is focusing on accelerating the creation of a new engine for low-level economic growth, according to Shan Zhongde, Vice Minister of the Ministry. At a recent press conference, he outlined four key areas of focus to drive this initiative forward.
Firstly, the Ministry plans to accelerate equipment innovation, particularly in the development of new general aviation equipment. This includes research into core technologies such as unmanned, electrified, and intelligent systems to meet the demands of different application scenarios.
Secondly, there will be a strong emphasis on strengthening application traction by creating a low-altitude multi-scenario application demonstration system. This will involve cultivating high-tech enterprises in the low-altitude economic field and accelerating the industrial chain for low-level economic development.
Thirdly, the Ministry aims to enhance technical connectivity through the use of information and communication technology, digital technology, smart technology, and artificial intelligence. This will support the development of a safe and efficient low-altitude operation system.
Lastly, the Ministry will focus on strengthening standard support by establishing an industrial standard system for low-altitude equipment research, design, production, and operation. They will also work with relevant departments to promote the construction of a third-party testing and certification system.
