Historic result for Aprilia who conquered pole position in the Argentine Grand Prix with Aleix Espargaro. On the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, the Spaniard set the best time in qualifying with 1’37 “688. Behind him in the front row the two Ducati Pramacs of the other Spaniard Jorge Martin, 0.151 cents behind, and the ‘Italian Luca Marini, at 0.431.
In the second row Pol Espargaro on Honda, fourth at 0.477, followed by Maverick Vinales, fifth on the other Aprilia at 0.508. Sixth Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha, at 0.5913. Disappointment for the other Italian riders, with Francesco Bagnaia on Ducati, Enea Bastianini on Ducati of Team Gresini and Franco Morbidelli on Yamaha, all out of the top ten and forced into an uphill race.
