The Future Movement presented to the National Electoral Council (CNE) the nomination of Nicolas Maduro as a presidential candidate.
The spokesperson for the political organization, Gabriela Jiménez, assured that the nomination has the support of various sectors.
«Today the Future movement is born, today, March 23, the social movements of the Venezuelan people after 63 thousand assemblies at the national level, women, fisherwomen, scientists, teachers, community members, retired from the Armed Forces, young people, we endorse that our candidate is the citizen Nicolás Maduro to the presidential election,” he expressed.
For his part, the president of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, stated that with this Saturday’s event progress is made with the established schedule of the presidential election.
Meanwhile, the governor of the state of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez, added that the Future Movement was formed to collaborate in the construction of the country.
