The Ninja arrives in his hometown ready to accept the two-year contract for two million euros a year
CAGLIARI. Nainggolan’s new adventure with the Cagliari shirt now seems to be a pious wish of the rossoblù fans, very close to the Belgian-Indonesian player. In fact, the Ninja seems to have definitively broken the delay and, not satisfied with Cagliari’s proposal after the termination of the contract with Inter, is now determined to return after sixteen years (between Cagliari, Rome and Inter) in the Belgian championship.
The Belgian internet sites, in particular the Gazet Van Antperwen (Antwerp Gazette), give the news with wide prominence. The announcement leaves room for few doubts: “Nainggolan arrives in Antwerp with a private jet to complete the deal for his transfer”.
Antwerp, a team from his hometown 33 years ago, is ready to give the player who played for Cagliari in the last two seasons (in the last championship only since January, contributing to a very small salvation with Semplici on the bench), a two-year contract for a figure pleasing to Nainggolan at around two million euros a year. Cagliari, on the other hand, is currently willing to offer a one-year contract plus an option for the second.
There remains a glimmer, also linked to the history of the player and his affection for the Cagliari fans. Everything is decided in these hours, and it could be another problem for the Cagliari season that opens tomorrow in the Italian Cup against Pisa.
