Boris Andrés Peña, governor (e) of Chocó, today installed Dunnia Madyuri Zapata Machado as the new magistrate of the Administrative Court of Chocó.
The new judge is a lawyer from the Technological University of Chocó, a specialist in procedural law, administrative law, constitutional law and a master’s degree in Administrative Law from the Universidad Libre de Colombia.
With a professional career of more than 16 years, she has worked as a trial lawyer, State contractor, employee, official of the Judicial Branch and university professor, of which, more than twelve have been as Administrative Judge of the Quibdó Circuit.
In 2022, as the Fourth Administrative Judge of Quibdó, he was the speaker of the winning sentence in the category of judges of the fifth version of the contest called “Recognition of the incorporation of the right to equality and non-discrimination in the judicial sentences”, advanced by the National Gender Commission of the Judicial Branch.
This sentence was selected among 152 presented by judges and magistrates from all over the country and was rated by the juries within the range of “Excellent application of the gender perspective.”
In 2023, she was nominated before the Council of State by the Administrative Court of Chocó as a candidate to be selected to obtain the honorary recognition “José Ignacio de Márquez for judicial merit”, in the SILVER category as Fourth Administrative Judge of the Quibdó Circuit for the year 2022.
