On the night of May 14, during the Russian attack on Ukraine, the city of Ternopil was damaged, where a large-scale fire started from the impact of rocket fragments.

The fire was extinguished by 80 rescuers during the night, said the head of Ternopil OVA Volodymyr Trush.

“Thank you to our rescuers, who extinguished the fire all night after the racist shelling. 18 pieces of equipment and more than 80 personnel were involved in the work“, he said.

In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine clarified that around 10:35 p.m. the enemy launched a rocket attack on the city of Ternopil. Fragments of the rocket hit the warehouse, which led to the fire.

Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region managed to extinguish the fire. Two people were injured, they are provided with all necessary medical assistance.

Unfortunately, around 05:00, the city was attacked by the enemy for the second time. Civilian buildings and cars were damaged as a result of the explosions, presumably from the debris of the rocket. There is currently no information about the victims. Rescuers are working on the spot.
