TREVISO. The dance museum it is now complete. The two cloisters of the ancient building that was a convent, school, warehouse and finally a museum are once again one with the end of the last intervention for the redevelopment of the north cloister. In all un journey that lasted years and cost eight million euros many of them put up by the administration. “A place for culture, for the people of Treviso, for everyone, a unique and spectacular environment” said the mayor with pride. In the north room of the second cloister, intended for temporary exhibitions in the new project, were the frescoes found by Bailo have been restored and detached from Treviso buildings to then be positioned to decorate the environment. It is a fundamental testimony of what the idea of ​​the “Trevigiano Museum” was for the abbot. In fact, in the large room on the first floor you can find the inscriptions “History is also revealed in art”, the two portions of friezes from the former prisons that stood in Piazza San Vito, as underlined by the frieze “[Dalle] 1892 San Vito prisons demolished ”and the mottos“ Industry is coupled with art ”and“ Beauty in all its forms educate to good ”. From these fragments it is possible to understand how Luigi Bailo had created a real one decoration projecttaking advantage of the frescoes that gradually became more numerous and detached from public and private buildings in Treviso.

The design of the intervention was entirely sponsored by Arper Spa, testifying to the commitment of the Monastier company to culture and the territory. To make it happen a consortium of companies from Treviso for a collective effort for the benefit of the capital.
