A man died and eight people were injured by gunfire – including two minors – during a rehearsal of a carnival troupe in the tourist municipality of Buzios, located on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro. This was reported this Saturday by official sources.
The events occurred in the early morning hours in the resort, located about 200 kilometers from the Fluminense capital, when a group of hooded and armed men got out of a vehicle and shot at the group of people attending the rehearsal.

Likewise, he said that all the injured were hit by bullets – among them two minors aged 13 and 10. They were transferred to the Rodolpho Perisse hospital.
According to the Buzios mayor’s office, only two of the injured are hospitalized, but stable. The rest have already been discharged “to continue treatment at home.”
Police authorities are investigating whether the attack is related to a dispute between criminal factions of the Red Command and the Third Puro Command.
