The senator leader of the Comunes Party and former commander of the FARC, Pablo Catatumbo, denounced with thekidnapping of the peace signer José Enrique Roa, as well as the double homicide of his bodyguards in the department of Huila.
According to the information provided by Catatumbo through its official account, Heavily armed men intercepted the vehicle in which José Enrique Roa was traveling along with its security scheme in a rural area south of Huila. The situation has generated consternation in the Los Comunes party, which manifests itself as a political continuator of the FARC.

The leader urgently called on the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate these events and capture those responsible.
Catatumbo also urged President Gustavo Petro and the Minister of Justice to exhaust all available resources. to find José Enrique Roa alive. “On behalf of all of us who signed the Peace Agreement and remain firm with that decision, we ask you to strengthen security measures for all the signatories of the Final Peace Agreement,” he added.
The lifeless bodies of the two bodyguards belonging to José Enrique Roa’s security scheme were discovered on the road that connects Oporapa with the municipality of Saladoblanco, in the south of the department of Huila. The victims, identified as Luís Eduardo Sterling Muñoz and Yilber Osorio Silva, showed apparent signs of torture and were tied hand and foot.
