Agreement with municipalities signed. The goal is to reach people in need by making them aware of the services offered by INPS
BELLUNO. Citizenship income, single allowance, social allowance for the elderly. There are numerous services that INPS offers for people in difficulty. But many do not access it. Poor familiarity with IT tools, or simply a lack of knowledge, leads people not to use the tools available. On this basis, the “INPS for all” project was born, which sees the involvement of Caritas and the Municipalities to reach people who are on the margins of society.
This morning at Palazzo Rosso the memorandum of understanding was signed between the INPS, Caritas and the municipalities of Belluno, Feltre and Alpago. They are only the first to have joined: the intention is in fact to extend the protocol to other areas of the territory.
“The goal is to be able to reach people in conditions of discomfort, to help them with the services made available by INPS”, explained the director of the Belluno office. Angelo Franchetti. The collaboration of the social services of the Municipalities and of Caritas, which has always been at the forefront in intercepting the most needy and lending them a hand, will be fundamental.
At the provincial level, about a thousand people turn to Caritas listening centers to ask for help. There are those who cannot pay their bills, others the rent. The situation has worsened with the outbreak of the Covid pandemic and the recent increase in energy costs.
The protocol also provides for the organization of training sessions for the staff of Caritas and Municipalities.
