TORONTO, March 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Partners Value Investments L.P. (the “Partnership”, TSX: PVF.UN TSX:PVF.PR.U) announced today its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2023.
All amounts are stated in U.S. dollars.
The Partnership recorded net income of $15 million for the year ended December 31, 2023, compared to net income of $1.1 billion in the prior year. The decrease in income was primarily attributable
to the absence of a one-time special distribution received from Brookfield Corporation (the “Corporation”) in the prior year and lower foreign currency gains and tax recoveries. Income of $6
million was attributable to the Equity Limited Partners, $8 million was attributable to Preferred Limited Partners, and $1 million attributable to non-controlling interests. The financial results
reflect the impact of the re-organization on November 24, 2023.
