The lawsuit that led to this conviction was filed by the Verein KlimaSeniorinnen (Elders for Climate) association of Switzerland, made up of 2,500 elderly Swiss women, whose human rights were affected by the lack of action by the Swiss State to mitigate the change. climate. This non-compliance, according to the Court, has negative consequences on their living conditions and health.
