Governor of Puerto Rico Reveals Dedication to God at Progressive Servers Convention

During the Convention of Progressive Servers in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia made a surprising revelation this past Sunday. The governor announced that he has given his life to God, declaring his dedication to the Lord in front of members of the Organization of Progressive Public Servants (OSPP).

“Today, I am going to say it honestly here, possibly because of the responsibility that I have on my shoulders and because of the years that I already have, today I am dedicated to the Lord. Totally, dedicated to the Lord,” Pierluisi confessed during his speech at the convention.

The governor emphasized that he believes that everything that will happen in his life and the future of Puerto Rico is in the hands of God. “I accept the will of the Lord,” he added.

Pierluisi also promised to use all the skills and aptitudes that God has given him to continue serving and helping the people of Puerto Rico for “four more years.” He expressed his commitment to utilizing his abilities and opportunities for the benefit of the community.

On June 2, Pierluisi will face a primary for re-election against his running mate, Jenniffer González Colón, the current resident commissioner in Washington DC. Despite the upcoming competition, multiple polls indicate that Pierluisi is favored to become the New Progressive Party (NPP) candidate for the governorship in the November general elections.

The governor’s announcement of his dedication to God has sparked discussions and reactions among the public, highlighting the intersection of faith and politics in Puerto Rico.
