This morning the president of the M5S Giuseppe Conte, having learned that the premier Mario Draghi was going to the site of the Marmolada tragedy, sent the premier a message in which he expressed his willingness to postpone the meeting scheduled for this afternoon, so as to being able to allow the prime minister to have all the time necessary for the inspection in such a delicate moment.
Following Conte’s initiative, the two had a telephone conversation where it was agreed by mutual agreement to postpone the appointment. For this reason, moreover, Conte has decided to postpone the current National Council of the M5S as well. The new meeting between Conte and Draghi – says Palazzo Chigi – will be held on Wednesday 6 July at 4.30 pm.
There is also a risk of skipping today’s CDM. The Council of Ministers is scheduled for 6.00 pm, at Palazzo Chigi, to resolve on the state of emergency due to drought in the most affected areas.
