Presidentialism: the Chamber rejects the bill

The Chamber in fact ditches the constitutional law proposal on presidentialism presented to Montecitorio by Fdi. The M5S amendment to the text was approved which suppresses the first four articles with 236 yes, 19 abstentions (Iv) and 204 no. The center-right voted in favor, against the rest of the center-left. The “gap” between those in favor of the suppressive amendments to the text on presidentialism and those against was no more than 34 votes. The government, as already happened during the process in committee, has always referred to the Chamber on every single vote.
