A private jet crashed into a car on a Florida interstate highway on Friday, causing a fire that killed at least two people.
According to the state Highway Patrol, the plane, a Bombardier Challenger 600, was attempting to land in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 when it collided with a vehicle and caught fire.

In an Air Traffic Control (ATC) audio obtained by local media, the jet’s pilot can be heard reporting that they lost both engines and that they were near Naples International Airport. Minutes later, the pilot reported that they would not be able to reach the landing strip.
The aircraft, which belongs to the Hop-a-Jet company, had taken off from the city of Columbus, Ohio, and was due to land in Naples. The identity of the victims is unknown, but it is presumed that they were the two occupants of the jet.
