With the change of year, new winds are sponsored for Chocó and Quibdó, where personally, as I enter the end of life, I do not lose hope of seeing the beginning of a new stage for my land, despite finding myself outside of it, for reasons of seeking a better level of tranquility and access to services that guarantee personal and family stability.
Going from a town to a city is a transcendental step to advance the development process of Quibdó, the social, territorial, ethnic, economic forces and other actors should build a long-term Vision, where they define what they want it to be the capital. of the Chocoanos in 30 years, so that each government in power does its corresponding part, in order to achieve the desired future, which should bring better opportunities and quality of life for the population settled in the territory.
An essential element is peaceful coexistence, and without this guarantee nothing can be built in terms of attracting public and private investment, since no one will invest in a territory of war, as is currently the case with the stampede of the private sector, where there is a record of more than 10 thousand companies in the chamber of commerce, most of which appear only on paper, however some consulting, engineering and service companies (Commerce, Tourism, restaurants, etc.) provide their services in the capital.
It is up to the authorities to build or adapt the POT to the vision that is defined, with the urban equipment of works such as a new aqueduct, the ring road, market squares, docks and terminals for the distribution of goods and revive with the support of international cooperation the recovery project of the Yesca, Caraño, Cazcorva and Platina micro-basins, converted into sewers, due to the urban expansion of the city.
We must begin to discuss the relocation of the airport that remained in the center of the city and prevents the growth in height of an important sector of the city. Government entities must promote the orderly transfer of their offices in the central ring to other places in the city. the city to improve vehicle and person traffic in lower density areas, because today traveling through the center of Quibdó is a true via crucis.
And the gaze towards the Atrato River must also be recovered with the extension of the boardwalk to the San Vicente and Kennedy neighborhoods, with a housing settlement program to relocate those who come to flood-prone areas.
The best example of this process is knowing what happened in Montería and other capitals, so that they see decisively everything is possible, with the resources allocated by royalties the pre-investment of the necessary studies could be financed, I hope that something remains for Quibdó in works in this government and not a distribution of subsidies that do not solve the underlying problem.
