TREVISO. A long awaited evening, that of yesterday, with the first real big return of live music and concerts in Treviso partially marred by bad weather, which, in the end, did not win.
The Arena della Marca, the new name of the classic racecourse coined by the newly created “Veneto Oltre 2021” exhibition (promoted by Zenit srl and New Age Club), which will host important names in Italian entertainment until the beginning of August, has opened its doors since from the late afternoon to just under a thousand spectators, who came to attend the Subsonica live. A wait, initially, was not successful. Shortly before the start of the concert, the arrival of the storm preceded by strong gusts of wind: general escape on the covered stands and the stop before the positive announcement of the organization, after a last inspection in the area under the stage.
The start was very late (at 11pm), and the party was nevertheless successful. A ritual that had been missing for too long; 1000 seats available all seated and 2 thousand well-spaced seats on the lawn of the gallop racecourse, thus starting a new era of entertainment in the city in a location that, in the future, aims to become an attractive pole for bands and artists also coming from abroad.
No sold out, but what mattered yesterday was absolutely “being there”; the internal spaces of the Arena, with a still very limited capacity in compliance with the legislation for the containment of the pandemic, observed from the perspective of the concert user, seemed potentially capable of opening up, when possible, to a real and important amount of spectators. There are still some question marks related to the parking spaces and the number of stalls actually available or future ones, in the event of a large influx, in addition to the obvious repercussions on the viability of the area between Viale Felissent and Viale della Repubblica.
Opening of the gates at 20 precisely, with a peaceful procession of music lovers and hungry that went neatly towards the center of the track, a place used to host the stage; Immediately after the ticket office, spectators were also welcomed by the rapid buffer point of Ulss 2, with the general manager Francesco Benazzi in the guise of a reassuring presence.
About thirty managers and volunteers (all negative) who wanted to test themselves for free before enjoying the concert. In the area, the classic kiosks with sandwiches and beers to share with friends before finally starting the evening, on the music routes with the performance of Subsonica: the contrast between the enthralling mood of their songs and the presence of seats , “Inviting” to a certain static nature, did not affect the success of the celebration of the first 25 years of their career. Upcoming events at the Arena della Marca are the concerts by Antonello Venditti (10 July), Umberto Tozzi (16 July), the tribute to Morricone (18 July), Massimo Ranieri (20 July), the tribute to Paolo Trevisi-Mario Del Monaco (July 27) and Nek (July 30), before the closing in key comica with Andrea Pucci (1 August).
