The president of the Italian Winter Sports Federation met with the regional government and Asiva
Visit to Valle d’Aosta on Tuesday by the president of the Italian Winter Sports Federation Flavio Roda. On the agenda, before the meeting with the Asiva committee, also a discussion with the regional government.
With Roda, the President of the Region Erik Lavevaz and the councilors for Economic Development and Tourism and Sport discussed the next winter season and the sporting events that the Aosta Valley is interested in hosting in the coming years. The Valle d’Aosta slopes could be the stage for important international appointments of snowboarding, Nordic skiing and Alpine skiing in the wake of the La Thuile World Cup and Snowboardcross in Cervinia. Without forgetting the idea of a shared World Cup between Cervinia and Zermatt.
The meeting at the Regional Palace was also an opportunity to talk about the approaching winter season. Cervinia has scheduled the reopening of the lifts for the 2021/2022 season for Saturday 16 October. The great unknown of the health situation remains. On this issue “the representatives of the Valle d’Aosta regional council and the leaders of the Fisi – reads a note – have defined a common line to ask the national government for clear and certain rules for a restart of skiing in serenity and safety”.
